Our funders

Hackney Community Law Centre (HCLC) is funded from a variety of sources to pay for the running of a busy legal aid office.

HCLC receives funding from The London Borough of Hackney and this is vital to cover the core costs of providing the services we offer to the community.

HCLC holds the Specialist Quality Mark from the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) which is only awarded to firms who pass strict quality control procedures and are assessed as offering a quality service to clients.

We currently hold contracts from the LAA to deliver housing law and asylum law advice and representation.

Our welfare benefits service is funded by the London Borough of Hackney as legal aid is no longer in scope for welfare benefits matters.

Our interns and volunteers programme is kindly funded by Hackney Parochial Charities.
