HCLC is delighted to welcome US summer intern Allie Clements to the Centre.  

Allie is from Florida and is studying for an undergraduate degree in Political Science at Florida Gulf Coast University and spending the summer in London as part of a Cultural Experiences Abroad programme and is interning with HCLC 4 days a week.

So far, Allie has worked most closely with HCLC benefits caseworker Marcin Brajta and HCLC Employment Solicitor Diane Morrison on welfare benefits and employment law.  Though she has not yet formally studied law, she has prepared brilliant written submissions for HCLC clients who have a case in the first tier social security tribunal.

It is Allie's first time in the UK and she has been enjoying her free time by exploring London and visiting the sights. She has been to lots of West End shows inclunding Mamma Mia and Phantom of the Opera. and visited Big Ben, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. She is also keen to visit Borough Market and other markets in London. 

We are delighted to have Allie with HCLC and wish her a happy stay in London.
