Immigration Law Practitioners Association proposes amendments to Legal Aid bill

17/1/2012

Immigration Law Practitioners' Association logoThe Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA) has proposed a number of amendments to the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill, which is going through the House of Lords.

If the bill were signed into law as it currently stands, it would abolish Legal Aid for immigration matters - mainly relating to exclusions to Judicial Review for immigration matters.
