Meet the Interns - Nargis and Humaaira!

HCLC is delighted to introduce our two current interns Humairaa Fatima and Nargis Sultana (pictured above left and right, respectively, with Law Society President Andrew Caplen).
Humairaa Fatima (pictured above left) has been a HCLC intern since January 2015. Before she came to HCLC, Humairaa undertook a work placement with a solicitors from specialising in immigration, family law, employment law and property law.
Humairra graduated from City Law School last summer with an LLB Hons in Law. At City Law School, Humairaa was an active member of the University's Law Society and Mentoring 'Buddy' scheme. Humairaa is hoping to study for the Legal Practice Course. She has a particular interest financial regulation and banking.
In her spare time, Humairaa likes to play Badminton and she also volunteers at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a guide for visiting families and patients. Nargis Sultana (pictured above right) also became a HCLC intern in January. As well as interning at HCLC, Nargis is also currently studying on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law where she is due to graduate in the summer. Nargis also volunteers for Islington Law Centre in its immigration department and used to be a volunteer for the Hackney (East End) Citizens Advice Bureau.
Nargis holds an LLB. Hons in Law from the University of East London where she also volunteered as an advisor in the Student Services Centre. After University, Nargis held several positions with various private practice law firms specialising in employment law, family law and sharia law. Since becoming a HCLC intern, however, Nargis has become increasingly interested in social welfare law. Once she completes her LPC, Nargis hopes to obtain a training contract and become part of the new generation of legal aid lawyers!
