Justice First Fellowship - training contract opportunity at HCLC
14/8/2017
Hackney Community Law Centre is delighted to announce that we have been selected as a host organisation for the Justice First Fellowship (JFF) programme, which funds training contracts and pupillages in social welfare law.
The JFF programme was set up by the Legal Education Foundation in 2014 to support the next generation of students committed to public interest and social justice issues who want to pursue a career in social welfare law. It is supported by the EsmeÌe Fairbairn Foundation, Unbound Philanthropy, City Bridge Trust and a number of law firms.
The aim is that the Fellowship Scheme will come to be seen as a route to a career in this important area of law, with Fellows going on to become leaders in their field and important advocates for access to justice and the rule of law.
The application period to apply to become a 2018 Justice First Fellow and undertake a training contract at Hackney Community Law Centre (HCLC) is now open.
Alongside HCLC, JFF training contract opportunities are also available at: Brighton Housing Trust, Coram Children's Legal Centre, Deighton Pierce Glynn, Derbyshire Law Centre, Govan Law Centre, Greater Manchester Law Centre, Just for Kids Law, Legal Advice Centre (University House), Liberty, Mary Ward Legal Centre, Migrant and Refugee Children's Legal Unit, Minton Morrill Solicitors, North Kensington Law Centre and Speakeasy Advice Centre.
Interested candidates must apply by September 18th 2017. To find out more and make an application, click HERE. We look forward to receiving your application!
